2024 Scholarship Program

IDSEF awards three types of scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Virginia counties of Prince William, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Stafford, and the independent cities within these counties; the District of Columbia; and Prince Georges County, Maryland

AVAILABLE 2024 SCHOLARSHIPS:

  1. The Traditional IDSEF Scholarship is open to any male graduating high school senior who have earned a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or better on 4.0 scale, and plans to attend a four-year college or university.
  2. The Rainer Historically Black College or University (HBCU) Scholarship, sponsored by the Rainer’s Grace Donor Fund and LR Associates, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that provides logistics support; facilities management; program management; and security and intelligence solutions. This scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on 4.0 scale and plan to attend an accredited four-year HBCU.
  3. The Blackwell Cyber Scholarship is sponsored by Cytech Systems, LLC, a consulting services company based in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area that specializes in meeting demand for cutting-edge secure technology systems and infrastructure used in mission-critical environments of the Intelligence Community. This scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on 4.0 scale and plan to Information Technology oriented majors at a four-year college or university.

Application Instructions:

The following documents must be submitted with your application: 

  1. Student Aid Report from your completed FAFSA application showing your Expected Family Contribution (EFC).
  2. Official Transcripts (submit either an official or a memorandum from a school guidance counselor verifying official transcripts).
  3. An essay addressing why you selected the academic major you plan to pursue, and the college(s) you plan to attend, along with your vision of how you will utilize your degree and experiences to give back to your community, the nation, and the world.

Applications must be submitted by Saturday, March 31, 2024. (VIEW SAMPLE APPLICATION) Incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed and will therefore eliminate you from the selection process.
